Progress on the boards has moved on a couple of stages, The bridge frameworks are now all in place, for the first outing I will use Scalescenes brickpapers for the bridges and abutments and potentially later on replace with Plasticard if I don’t like the look. The track has been ballasted with Gaugemaster brown ballast using a PVA mix and a dropper and the embankments were covered with a layer of PVA and then wood chippings/dust to provide some relief to the paper mache smooth finish. I have put some ruts in for the track underneath Raglans drove (shown below) and the other two bridges at Cattle creep and Hackers. The hole in the foreground is for the distant signal and the holes are in place ready for 4 signals to be added on the other boards

The big challenge now is to convert the boards from the current state to represent how they might have looked in 1932. Static grass, scalescenes wire fencing and plenty of hedging is required.
Hackers Lane – Bridge 182

Raglans Drove – Bridge 178

Electrics
The wiring connecting all the boards together has been finished and partially tested. Test running has taken place across the boards and into the fiddle yards, The end boards between the fiddle yards and scenic session have been made and fitted.

Loads to do and the clock is ticking 🙂
