Two S&DJR layouts reflecting my time and memories of Poole in Dorset where I went to school and spent many happy hours watching the trains go by. Two from my time in Sussex, travelling daily between Billingshurst and London. Poole Sidings is my latest home based layout

Sturminster Newton

  • N Gauge 2mm/ft
  • Model of Sturminster Newton in Dorset on the S&DJR
  • 11 feet by 2 with fiddle yard at rear
  • Runs in a 1925-35 guise and more usually in a 60-66 format

Crawley Yard – Currently getting a rebuild

  • Modern Image N Gauge layout modelled on Crawley Yard on the London to Brighton mainline from 2000-2020
  • 5 Meters long 610mm wide, with a fiddle yard at the rear
  • DCC Control with many sound fitted locomotives

Shillingstone

00 Layout based on Shillingstone on the Somerset and Dorset line. Set between 1920 and 1940 a mixture of S&DJR, SR and LMS stock in use

  • Size 34 feet by 1.5 -2 Feet – 24 feet scenic boards
  • End-to-end configuration with fiddle yards at each end
  • DCC Control with sound-fitted locomotives and working signals

Poole Sidings

  • N Gauge room-based layout of Poole in Dorset with N elevation fiddle yard
  • Modelled to cover the end of the Steam and the BR Blue era
  • DCC controlled with JMRI and iTrain options, Railcom and blocked throughout for Automation
