After a slow start I have managed to get some work on the layout underway. I’ve converted the pile of wood in the garage into 4 basebaords, 2 long ones for the fiddle yard and 2 open frame shorter ones for the scenic sections. The next step is to paint these before fixing the baseboards on and then I can move onto the tracklaying and wiring.
I also purchased some Langley horse and cart models for the layout, these are slowly getting put together ready for priming and painting in due course. I’ll attach the horses after painting the wagons and the horses and crew separately.
The next job is to make the porters hut, I have some photo’s and measurements now so ready to start the overall size is 11*13 Feet so not quite square. 3 windows and one door and small ridgeline on the roof on the long side.
